The Nelspruit site holds the following certifications:

• ISO 14001:2004 - Certification valid until July 2010.
• OHSAS 18001:1999 - Certification valid until October 2008.
• ISO 9001:2000 - Certification valid until August 2009.
• NOSA Integrated 5 Star System - NOSCAR status since 2005.
• NOSA Integrated 5 Star System - 5 Star Platinum rating since 2002.

Recent awards earned by MMC for excellence in the management of its occupational health, safety and environmental programs, include the following:

• NOSA Award - Overall winner in the NOSA Integrated 5 Star System Sector D 2006.
• NOSA International Top 100 Award for World Class SHE Performance 2006.
